Litters
If you are interested in kittens either now or in the future, please contact us. Although we live in Somerset, we do travel to other parts of the country, so it may be possible to arrange to drop off kittens closer to you than you may think.

If you are new to keeping rats (or have haven't kept them for some time), we recommend that you look at these guides before deciding whether rats are the pet for you.
  • Pet Rat Information Sheet, www.petrat.info by Antonia Robinson and Angela Horn
  • Estelle Sandford's rat care guide www.ratz.co.uk
  • My Rat A new DVD, from Houndstar Films
  • . Also available from NFRS promotions.
  • Nick Mays's The proper care of fancy rats is still one of the better rat books around, although it is a few years old now.
  • Ann Storey's Common diseases of the fancy rat (NFRS Handbook - part one) Brand new in October 2007, this covers rat illnesses in detail. Good enough to buy an extra copy for your vet!
  • Available from NFRS promotions.

    Please note:
Kittens are always homed in same sex groups (pairs or more), unless you already have rats of a similar age that they can be introduced to, as rats are social animals and generally don't like to be kept alone. It may seem obvious, but we cannot guarantee the number of kittens of each variety/sex in upcoming litters - we can estimate, but won't know for sure until they actually arrive!
