Mole had a small litter of babies on 22 April 2006. Sadly things didn't go to plan, the babies were born a couple of days late and only one buck was alive when I checked on them. Mole seemed to want to look after him, but didn't seem to be able to feed him. I fostered him to Squirrel, who had a litter one day older, but sadly he didn't feed, and he died the next day. Mole needed a trip to the vet for oxytocin and antibiotics, and fortunately she seems to be OK.
