Skye was a very friendly and outgoing rat, bred by Lucie Mann and from the same litter as Forth. She was extremely healthy, and her only ever health problem was a face abcess that caused affected the alignment of her teeth. Despite antibiotics and regular visits to the vet to have her teeth trimmed, she didn't improve and we sadly decided that it would be kindest to have her put to sleep.

We bred her to Gill Thomas's Stan in November 2001, and despite having a difficult birth, she was an excellent mum and was happy for me to handle her babies right from the start. Babies include Arran, Hamish and Heather. Skye was a very gentle rat, and we moved her in to keep Holly company for a few months after Willow died, and later she went back in with her old cagemates Forth, Heather and Skerry and she settled in again with no problems at all.
