Skerry was the only baby we kept from Forth's litter. She was bred to Arran and had a litter of seven bucks on 1 June 2002. She was a perfect Mum, who passed her lovely temperament on to her babies. She had one black roan, Peebles, two buff roan, two buff self and two black Irish mismarked babies. We are also keeping Moffat and Scotty from her litter.

Skerry was almost show rat quality, except she had white whiskers on one side! This may be because she carries the husky gene. Her buff sister, Cerasum, went to live with Gill Thomas and won best AOC at MRC Swanwick AGM show at only 9 weeks old. Skerry had a very healthy life, with no real health problems until she developed a severe ear infection. She was prescribed antibiotics and anti-inflammatories by the vet, and for a few hours she seemed to be recovering, but she died the next day.
