Star, Speedo and Spice came to us at the end of July 2005. Their original owners had rescued them from poor conditions in a petshop, when they were about 4-5 months old, and were later castrated. They came to ours for their retirement due to their family emigrating to New Zealand.

Star is the alpha of the three. He was fairly shy at first, but is now settling in very well. He's still not to keen on me actually picking him up, but once I've got him, he's fine and enjoys a cuddle.

We also had another rat called Starr, our New World Starr, but as one is an agouti Berkshire buck and the other was a black self doe, we won't mix them up!
