Blossom was a small, quiet doe when she arrived with us. Her previous owner had sent her to ours for mating to start his own striped roan line, but a change in his personal circumstances meant that she stayed with us to have her babies. It took her 2-3 months to settle in and to feel comfortable being handled, but once she did she was a friendly doe who enjoyed attention. We mated her to Brindle and she had a small litter of three kittens (Winter, Autumn and Summer) all of which we kept. She lived with Summer as well as her half sister Black Cherry (plus Cherry's daughters). Sadly Blossom developed a head tilt and balance problems in May 2006. It didn't respond to Baytril (an antibiotic), and she took a turn for the worse. She seemed to be almost paralysed down one side and could no longer stand up, so sadly she was put to sleep on 27 May 2006.
